One mile south of the site is the Phoenix campus of Mayo Clinic. Mayo is a charitable, not-for-profit organization with locations in Arizona, Minnesota and Florida. For more than a century, Mayo has been an international leader in patient care, health sciences research and medical education.

Mayo's 210-acre Phoenix campus includes Mayo Clinic Hospital, a 208-bed acute care facility and the Mayo Clinic Specialty Building, a new 162,000 square foot outpatient clinic building.
