Area Information

Already the country’s 5th largest city, Phoenix is expected to grow by an additional 2 million people over the next 20 years.

This enormous population growth has expanded the city northward, away from downtown Phoenix and toward Desert Ridge.

In 2004, Phoenix became the nation’s second-largest, new-home market with 64,229 homes built. This is an average of 176 new homes a day. Over the past five years, the Phoenix area has absorbed almost 52,000 single-family units annually.

Within Desert Ridge, there are currently 6,500 single-family homes and condominiums under construction and approximately 10,000 more to be built in the next five years.

The average household income within three miles of CityNorth is among the highest in metropolitan Phoenix at approximately $92,000 (nearly double the national average). The median age is 36 years.
